Mads Krumhardt Enggren, previously Managing Director of the Swedish SEB Kort Bank AB, will join the Management Board of AirPlus International GmbH as CEO on August 1, 2024. He succeeds Oliver Wagner, who is returning to Lufthansa Group after having served as AirPlus’ CEO for the past four and a half years.
Mads Krumhardt Enggren, who holds a degree in business administration, has 28 years of experience in the finance and credit card industry, including 20 years at SEB Kort. During this time, the Danish citizen has held various roles in top management, sales and product development. In 2018, he was appointed CEO of SEB Kort after seven years as Head of Corporate Segment, where he led the development of B2B products in the Nordics (Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden).
Tove Markelin also joins the management of AirPlus. After studying law, the Finnish citizen began her career in 2007 at the Finnish law firm Dittmar & Indrenius before joining SEB Kort as Legal Counsel in 2014. She was promoted to Acting Head of Legal in 2021 and finally to Head of Legal in 2022.
The new appointments to the Management Board are part of the transition of AirPlus from the Lufthansa Group to SEB Kort. As of August 1, 2024, the Management Board of AirPlus will thus consist of the four Managing Directors: Mads Krumhardt Enggren (CEO), Andreas Hagenbring, Tove Markelin and Erik Mosch. Erik Mosch, previously Chief Representative of AirPlus, has thus been appointed Managing Director.
"With Mads Krumhardt Enggren and Tove Markelin, AirPlus is gaining two managers with proven experience in the corporate payment industry. With their longstanding commitment, they have been instrumental in shaping the development of SEB Kort,” says Mats Torstendahl, member of the AirPlus Supervisory Board and Deputy President and CEO of SEB. "Equally, Andreas Hagenbring and Erik Mosch have played a vital role in positioning AirPlus as a leading global corporate payment expert. With this management team, AirPlus is ideally positioned to create the leading corporate payment provider in Europe with global reach and to drive the digital transformation in the payment industry."
Mats Torstendahl continues: “With Oliver Wagner, a very experienced Managing Director is leaving AirPlus, who has successfully led the company through an extensive IT transformation, the Covid pandemic and the company sale. We would like to thank him warmly for his commitment and wish him all the best for his future in the Lufthansa Group."
